Soccer Moms Don’t Buy Weed?

Stoner Stigma & the Power of Cannamoms

So soccer moms don’t buy weed?

That was the claim of one cannabis newsletter - marketing to soccer moms is pointless because they don’t buy weed.

Is this true or just stoner stigma?

As a “soccer mom” myself, I’d like to discuss this theory.

They’re Not Totally Wrong

I want to start out by stating that I don’t completely disagree with the newsletter - soccer moms are not buying the bulk of the weed in the legal cannabis market.

However, disregarding them is a huge mistake.

Moms Can Change Everything

The cannabis industry continues to fight tons of stigma, as do cannabis consumers. But when moms are on board with cannabis, things can change.

In many households, mothers make the majority of healthcare choices, and women are more often seeking holistic treatment options. Moms can take cannabis into the mainstream.

Cannamoms for the win!

The Power of Cannamoms

Although women, and the “soccer mom” prototype to be specific, may not be buying the bulk of the weed, they are creating movements and communities all over the country and virtually - sharing their experiences with cannabis for wellness and for enjoyment.

Cannamoms are out there breaking the stigma, sharing helpful information, and braving backlash to pave the way for women everywhere.

So the weed mom will be just as accepted as the wine mom.

*Some amazing cannamom/women in weed communities include Mom’s Tea & Cannabis, High Society of Mamas, Pink Sesh Society, & Tokeativity

There are plenty of women out there, mothers specifically, who smoke & consume plenty of weed. We may not be the majority of the market but we’re sure as hell helping to shape it.
